Our Past
Mercom launched in 1994 to support the growing IT market. Initially we focused on break-fix work in the local Houston area and we soon were working for customers such as HP and IBM, and developed customer partnerships nationwide.
Our Present
These days Mercom is based in a modern 8,000 ft2 repair facility just outside Houston, Texas. We’ve expanded beyond just repair services and support our customers with asset management, staging and deployment and refurbished equipment. We work with corporations throughout the US and Canada.
Our Future
The future looks bright for Mercom. We have a growth plan in place and we are moving into different markets. We are constantly monitoring and moving with the advancements in technology, and we continue to develop sophisticated internal systems and practices that will add value for both our customers and our company.

Tony Alcock
Tony Alcock is the founder and President of Mercom. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and prior to Mercom he held positions in England, The Netherlands and Switzerland.
Anson Fung
Anson won’t discuss his age, but he’s worked at Mercom since 1994! His first project was repairing main boards for Compaq! Nowadays he repairs a wide range of equipment including printers, circuit boards and handheld devices.
Dian Brown
Dian has worked in diplomatic circles for many years in different countries. Now, with a young family, she’s put down roots in one place. Dian handles purchasing and various admin functions.
Mario Hernandez
Mario Hernandez joined Mercom straight from college in 2000. Over the years he has developed a wide range of repair capabilities including RFID equipment, networking devices, circuit boards and monitors.
Mary Rosa
A transplant from Idaho (with her husband and cats!), Mary already has five plus years electronic repair experience. Mary has a broad range of experience, but focuses on barcode hardware and mobile devices for Mercom.
Mario Clement
Mario Clement is another experienced Mercom repair Technician. His responsibilities include POS hardware repairs including keyboards, barcode equipment and monitors. Mario joined Mercom in 2009 with an Associates Degree in Electronics.
Travis Hagenah
Although a Wisconsin native, Travis Hagenah seems to enjoy the Texas heat and he cycles to work most days. Travis runs the shipping and receiving department and is a passionate Packers fan.
Rohit Kissoon
Rohit Kissoon has worked for Mercom for 14 years and is very experienced repairing a wide range of hardware including barcode scanners, printers and monitors. Outside of work he has his hands full with two young sons.
Louise Alcock
As Office Manager, Louise Alcock has overall responsibility for all Administrative functions at Mercom.
Ben Flores
A Texas native, Ben joined Mercom in 2025 after earning his degree in Applied Computer Science. He is already a valuable team member working on a variety of IT hardware for manufacturers and end-users alike.
